On March 25, a teaser video for episode 6 of MBC’s “Good Day” was released on the YouTube channel “TEO“.

The video features cast members who have appeared on “Good Day“, including Defconn, Hong Jin Kyung, Jung Hyung Don, Kwanghee, Hoshi, Code Kunst and Jung Hae In, all participating in a quiz to win prizes.

It also shows a moment with G-Dragon and girl group aespa. G-Dragon awkwardly attempts to mimic the choreography of aespa’s song “Whiplash and, looking bashful, raises his hands and says, “I’m sorry.”

What stood out most in the 40-second preview was the absence of actor Kim Soo Hyun. In the previous episode of “Good Day“, Kim Soo Hyun had appeared as part of the “88 line” alongside Jung Hae In, Kwanghee, Lee Soo Hyuk and Im Siwan, but he was nowhere to be seen in the teaser.

This appears to be a response from the production team to the negative public sentiment following the spread of various allegations against Kim Soo Hyun. Previously, the “Good Day” team issued an official statement saying “We believe the purpose of ‘Good Day’, which started with good intentions, along with the cast’s sincerity and the viewers’ support, could be harmed” and announced that they would edit out as much of Kim Soo Hyun’s footage as possible and discard the recordings made on March 13. They also announced a one-week broadcast delay.

The move has sparked continued debate among viewers. On the show’s message board, some demanded, “There’s no reason for Kim Soo Hyun to leave”, “We want to see Kim Soo Hyun’s footage” and “We’re waiting for Kim Soo Hyun’s appearance”, while others argued, “The edited version should air as is” and “We support his removal.”

Meanwhile, episode 6 of “Good Day” is set to air on March 30 at 9:10 PM.
